The New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles Pride events are on the weekend of June 26-27, with all three cities' marches on Sunday the 27th.

This weekend corresponds to the weekend of June 27-29, 1969, when a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York, touched off a two-day revolt widely seen as the beginning of the lesbian and gay rights movement-the event commemorated by Pride marches and festivals everywhere.

Happiness.

Happiness

appiness... the mere mention of the word seems to trigger memories where "happy" was simply the way you used to feel. Physically safe, emotionally secure, the love of others, and the comfort of knowing little harm could come to you, and the future seemed promising with more of the same.

Well, a lot has changed since then. Happiness

now seems accidental, occurring only by chance when the pressures and stress of your life ease up for the moment. Today you feel anything but happy, frustrated by failed attempts to secure your happiness and seemingly "stuck" in an impossible situation.

At The Center for Effective Living, we know

just how you feel. But more importantly, we know how to help you resolve the source of your unhappiness, and teach you the skills needed to build a better, happier life for yourself.
